How to be Happy with what you have?

Are you someone that always sees what others have and wish you could have the same things?

It could be anything from cars to a house to good looks or a significant other.

Whatever the case may be, I am here to tell you that you need to learn how to be happy with what you have.

If you are always comparing yourself to others and looking at your supposed shortcomings, you are never going to be happy. Here are some tips to help you learn how to be happy with what you have.

3 TIPS TO BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE

#1. FOCUS ON WHAT YOU HAVE

The first thing you need to do is stop focusing on what you don’t have and start focusing on what you do have.

I’m certain if you take 20 minutes and write down all of the things you have, you will start to instantly feel better.

Doing this exercise might not come easily for some of you.

You’ll have to start off small.

Maybe you have a comfy bed or you have your favorite movie on DVD that you can watch anytime you want. Focus on the little things you have and build from there.

In time, you will find that focusing on what you have becomes that much easier for you.

#2. LET GO OF THE PAST

We don’t live in the past, we live in the present.

So there is no point in focusing on what happened to you months or years ago.

Yes it is important to have closure and to learn from what happened, but that is different than constantly living in and thinking about the past.

The sooner you get closure and focus on the here and now, the sooner you will learn how to be happy with what you have.

Besides, living life in the moment is much more fun.

#3. STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS

You live for you.

You don’t need to impress anyone with the things you have or buy. Most people won’t even be impressed.

They will be happy for you that you have the new item, but you aren’t impressing them. Learn to not base your happiness on the approval of others.

Furthermore, you don’t need to have the physical qualities of someone else.

That guy might have the muscles you wish you could have, but you aren’t him. You are you and were made exactly to plan.

There is no one else like you. You are one of a kind. Be proud of that.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Learning how to be happy with what have takes some effort, but it will be worth it in the end.

The quicker you realize you are special, just the way you are, the quicker you will start feeling better about yourself.

Likewise, the sooner you understand that you need to focus on what you have and not what others have, the sooner you will be happier.

On the surface, many people look like they have it all, but on the inside, they are missing the real wealth of life – love, friends, and family.

Stop comparing yourself to others and be happy with what you have and who you are.

You appear to understand so much about this, such as you wrote the ebook in it
or something. I believe that you simply can do with a few percent to power
the message house a bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog.

A fantastic read. I will definitely be back. I could not refrain from commenting.

It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be
much more useful than ever before. Way cool!
